Woodland Hills, California - SkyLine Tools today announced the shipping of the highly anticipated SkyDocImage, Internet Enhanced. This innovative new royalty-free* document imaging package comes complete with full source code for Delphi.
Utilizing the powerful features of SkyLine's award winning imaging development kit, ImageLib Corporate Suite, SkyLine Tools has developed a complete and highly-polished, Internet-aware end-user document imaging application featuring acclaimed components such as comprehensive TIFF support, a lightning fast TWAIN manager (that can actually scan as fast as ISIS with many scanners), a powerful Expervision TypeReader Pro or Enterprise OCR gateway, seven different anti-aliasing and scale-to-grey algorithms, Zoom, Scroll and Pan, a thumbnail manager and Annotation capabilities (highlighting, "paste-its", labels, stamps, arrows, polygons) that allow users to mark up images on screen and save them either with our without the document.
No programming is needed! The package features the original executable as well as the complete source code, so SkyDocImage can be used "out of the box" as a stand-alone document imaging solution, or can be fully customized. With source code included, developers can simply slap their logo on SkyDocImage and sell it as their own product or add, subtract, or modify features to closely match specific development needs.
The new innovative "Internet-Aware" ,enhanced version allows developers and imaging professionals to easily send, receive, and view scanned TIFF documents as well as other formats across corporate intranets, extranets, and the Internet.
Programmers who license SkyDocImage Enhanced can send images to FTP sites through standard TCP/IP connections. You can even scan directly via FTP. End-users with SkyDocImage Enhanced can receive and view TIFF images from URLs and FTP sites using TCP/IP.
Once SkyDocImage Enhanced is installed on a PC server, the application is activated by clicking on the "InterNet/TCP Server" menu item. A client using SkyDocImage Enhanced needs only to set their application to "InterNet/TCP Client" and input the server's IP address to easily read TIFF files directly from the server. It's that easy!
With these new "Internet-Aware" features, it's no longer necessary to convert TIFFs to GIFs before sending them over the Internet. Developers can skip the file format limitations of web browsers and avoid the Unysis GIF licensing fees by utilizing SkyDocImage Enhanced. No website hosting or browser plug-ins needed! Transmitting scanned documents over the Net is as simple as a click of your mouse button.
