Virginia Supreme Court Praises CORPORATE SUITE 7

"We used your latest version of Corporate Suite 7 for Visual Basic and it does just what we were looking for. Thank you very much for your attention over the past several days.

After looking at many products and having several major vendors demo their products to us, we decided Skyline Tools is by far the best product around.

Our pilot site has been thrilled with the new features we can offer with the Skyline tools.

We look forward to rolling out our scanning programs to other sites.

Thanks for such a great product.

Regarding the Corporate Suite:

""I am completely blown away with the ease of your ILDocumentImage and associated components. I had a program up and running in less than 1 day that scanned multiple pages into one tiff file with thumbnail viewing. The scanner I am using is a Fujitsu fi-4120c - a relatively cheap Auto feed scanner."

Regarding the ImageLib:

"Please note that I compared your product with one which comes more and more out here in Germany. It is called 'DaVinci' from Herd Software. ImageLib is much faster and has a much better Delphi-interface. ImageLib is the graphic engine of my choice for our new product, a financial and estate calculation program."

-- Peter Gentes

Regarding the ImageLib Corporate Suite 5, Doc-to-Net, and SkyDocImage:

"I had to email you to tell you my company is quote 'BLOWN AWAY' by our new document imaging system we just rolled out with a lot of help from your Corporate Suite 5 and Doc-to-Net imaging development tools. The retrieval speed and image quality of Doc-to-Net running on web servers on our company Intranet is amazing. No one believes the image lives 300 miles away and they think it loaded off the local hard drive. My boss actually made me erase all images off my local drive and retrieve another image to prove it. I added Borland thin MIDAS database controls to your SkyDocImage scanning software so we could create lookup searching indexes in our Oracle 8i database. I also added an FTP upload manager that runs in the background and automatically uploads newly scanned images to the web server and in the correct virtual path. It works so well I can't believe it! Thanks Again!"

Regarding the ImageLib Corporate Suite:

"I am a software engineer for the Colorado Spring Police Department (CSPD) and have developed a Mug Shot capturing application using Corporate Suite 4.025, Delphi 3, and MS SQL Server 7.0. This system is working great and your product has definitely made THE difference. We use the Canon Optura digital video camera and IEEE 1394 (firewire) to capture and transfer the images. We store the data and images into the SQL database itself - MS SQL 7.0 handles big Blobs exceptionally well right in the database. Corporate Suite has made this project not only enjoyable and easy to develop but also successful. The digital photos are of better quality than our original "film" based mug shots. In fact, we are catching "bad guys" as you read this now. Your product is wonderful and easy to use and your news group response time is by far the best of ANY company that I have dealt with in the past - and I have dealt with some pretty darn good companies. I look forward to further application development efforts using Corporate Suite 5 and Delphi 5 in the future. Thank you!"

"I visited your website late last week, and downloaded a trial version of ImageLib Corporate Suite v4.0, and I have to say I'm quite impressed Part of the an application I'm developing is required to load and display black-and-white TIF images from an Oracle database. It took 5 minutes to read the help files to install, and about another 5 minutes to add a PMultiImage component and create some code to load the images from the database and into the image component. This compares favourably with the 2 days spent last week trying to use OLE automation to display the same images. I did a fair bit of hunting around, and did check out a few other imaging components. Most seem to have some trouble displaying very high-resolution TIFs with a lot of whitespace in them (you end up seeing a big white rectangle when it squashes the image onto your screen). So far, this is the only component I've seen which handles them correctly."

-- Nathan Marsten

Regarding the ImageLib Corporate Suite Active X:

"...It's taken a relatively short amount of time for me to implement the scanning functionality (ADF, duplex, sequential filenaming, viewing, rotating, printing, etc.) into a prototype application that I'm building with your ImageLib Corp. Suite Active X 2.0 (VB). Your tools are attractive to us because of the pricing, no royalties, relative ease of use and potential expansion of functionality. We are interested in your OMR, OCR and barcode tools, as well. Thank you for making your tools available for evaluation."

-- Chris Crabtree
En-Chart Scanning

"...Last week I alone scanned in and viewed under Microsoft Access over 25,000 documents. Next week I have some help from temporary staff who will feed the paper into our scanner machine. I like best how quick and easy it was to develop our ad hoc front end using your ActiveX control. This very >nearly erased any time for development and testing, since incorporation of the tool automatically made manipulation of images by our front end unnecessary, allowing us to wrap your control in a mere skeleton and simply call your functions. It was exactly the right thing for us... The main features we use are the zoom, rotation (sometimes the page scans in crooked because the machine grabs it incorrectly), and combining individual pages to make a multi-page TIF file. The ActiveX control has performed flawlessly in these tasks. We have printed so far over 1000 of them and not had a problem there either. We enjoy working with companies who enjoy working with us and are therefore delighted to work with Skyline."

"May I add that I have a very positive impression of the people at your business, thus far, and I've only been at this thing for 3 or 4 days now. The help and assistance I have received from everyone has been well beyond what I have experienced in the past."

Customer Testimonial:

We have been using Corporate Suite since version 3.0. We have used it to develop a document imaging system that is targeted to trucking companies. Trucking companies need to track massive quantities of paperwork such as bills of lading, delivery receipts, driver's logs, etc. Our largest customer has accumulated on the order of 200GB of image data in the 4 years that they have used our system.

Not only do all of these documents need to be filed they need to be merged with invoices for billing purposes, they need to be faxed to shippers for delivery confirmation, they need to be available to customers via a web interface and they need to be emailed to shippers for delivery confirmation. We have used Imagelib Corporate Suite help us implement all of these features and it has performed flawlessly.

The features of Corporate Suite have allowed us to include several different methods of acquiring images. We can scan them directly to the database using almost any TWAIN or ISIS compatible scanner. For remote locations that are not on the internal intranet images can be scanned to local TIFF files and batch uploaded to the imaging server using FTP. We also accept images directly from fax. Images can also be imported from JPG, PCX, BMP or TIFF files. In order to minimize the manpower required to input the indexing information images with a suitable bar code can be indexed automatically. Images without bar codes are queued and indexed by a data entry operator.

We store active images in an Interbase database and older, less active images on CD-ROM, DVD or a file server. Whether the image data is in the database or in individual TIFF files, the image retrieval speed is almost instantaneous.

Customer Testimonial:

"I've been developing DMS for circa 4 years, mostly with Kodak tools, but was looking for something without royalties and a huge installation setuip overhead. Hence, I went about investigating other toolkits from other vendors. Approx 2 years ago, I eval'd and bought Skyline tools, but later returned the product as I felt it still needed some more work. Earlier this year (2002) I again re-evaluated Skyline tools and was very impressed with both the advance in the product and it's overall feature list.

I am now about to start my own company, and have developed over the past 4 months a new DMS system which I feel I can offer to SMEs at an affordable cost yet still offer more and above the current Document Management systems.

The system, ScanDesk professional, is aimed at SMEs and boasts a set of features to rival it's competitors. Right now it uses Pegasus Barcoding but that is to change with financial support when I can invest in the barcode tools from SkyLine.

Of Interest To Skyline:

I have evaluated I think every development kit on the market today. Skyline offers the best overall roundup of features for both the developer and the end-user. And what makes it invaluable for a company developing products, is it's initial attractive cost, and it's lack of royalty fees."

"Thank you very much. It was really good to see [SkyLine Tools Imaging] again at the conference and I am delighted at the success of your company. What do they say? The cream always rises to the top. There is no substitute for quality, and you certainly embody that approach."

-- Alan, an ImageLib customer

"NTA has been tasked to develop a custom document management system for the U.S.Navy's NAS Patuxent River Public Works Department. We chose to code in 32-bit Delphi Client/Server and needed to purchase a 3rd party imaging library for cost efficiency. We selected ImageLib from SkyLine Tools and had a solid prototype of the document viewer object running within two weeks.

The EDM (Electronic Document Manager) utilizes the imaging DLLs of ImageLib Corporate Suite 3.0 to read and write all popular image formats. We are greatly impressed by loading speed and quality of the images. The project requires about 500,000 scanned pages in letter format to be available through EDM. These scans are generated at 300dpi resulting in 2200x3300 pixel TIFF-4 images (1-bit). ImageLib handles such images perfectly and has given us the edge in competing with commercial imaging software.

EDM uses ImageLib components for thumbnail previews and certain conversion features. Again, the components work as advertised and have given us no trouble whatsoever.

During the development, we contacted SkyLine several times to obtain upgrades as well as to solve certain issues concerning ImageLib. It must be said that we have yet to find another company that matches SkyLine's service. We were able to talk to the programmers directly to obtain information right from the source, which has helped us to optimize our code. Updates are not only provided by mail but can be downloaded from SkyLine's web site though the use of ZIP passwords. This has helped our developers to integrate ImageLib upgrades 30 minutes after we bought them!

We highly recommend ImageLib for any document imaging purpose. The product is fast, reliable and impeccably supported by its manufacturer."

Insurance Applications:

"Sheppard Consulting is a full service computer consulting firm. We provide custom hardware, software and other items. We offer a full range of networking and service. We sell hardware, software, and custom programming services.

We have another company called Image Management Systems, Inc. that has developed a custom program for insurance agents. The program is based on imaging and marketing. We offer a paper-less environment to our users. We typically use a twain compliant scanner. At the moment we are using Storm Technology Easy Photo Smartpage V1.5 as the preferred small desktop scanner. We also recommend the Hewlett Packard Network Scanjet 5 as a inexpensive high speed alternative.

I have been very impressed with ImageLib and SkyLine Tools. We are always under pressure to complete applications on time. Your staff has been a big asset in helping us achieve our goals. I believe that we are "cutting edge" for small imaging systems. We have found that a simple phone call Jan often solves our problem. The current trend in the computer industry is to offer support through e-mail. It is refreshing to see that some companies still realize that voice is often the fastest way to determine and solve the problem.

Our companies offer what I believe to be much better than the best average service. I am happy to applaud other companies that also offer great levels of service. Please keep it up!"

-- Brent Sheppard, President
Sheppard Consulting Inc, / Image Management Systems Inc.

"Once I removed my own resizing logic and let ImageLib's dScaleToGrayBMP do the sizing everything worked just fine. Very beautifully indeed, the conversion is very fast and my scans look now exactly as commercial packages (ie Watermark Enterprise) display them. Thanks for making my life a whole lot easier and my customers a lot happier!."

-- Ralph Zeuner

"Thank you for the speedy response. While we were trying to make DFL's LightLib work for our projects, we never received such prompt replies. I made sure the boss knew how quick you were. I think we're both glad we switched to ImageLib."

-- Jim Rankin

"Thanks very much for your attention to our problem over the last few days and I appreciate that very much. I also could not have expected a better response considering that we are yet to purchase your products! When trialing your components, I was comparing the visual components with the T-Base OCX and the Luxent LightLib OCX . As a general comment on your products, after trialing the above mentioned imaging components, the ImageLib Corp. Suite 3.0 is by far and away the fastest to load and process images and has the most features."

-- Mark Brooks, AIM Tec Pty Ltd.

"Our project goal was to provide 1900+ pages of scanned financial data on a CD-ROM complete with a database controlled viewer application for a municipal bond issue. Because of the tight schedule and lead times for CD-ROM mastering and production, we were left with very little time to design and program the embedded application. We received ImageLib on a Friday evening, and had both the 16-bit and 32-bit versions done and the entire CD off to glass-master on Monday morning. The example programs included answered most of my questions. Delphi and ImageLib saved the day."

-- Jim Bandy

"Thanks again for your FAST Tech Support. It is the best support that I have received. Support of your product as well as I have experienced cannot go un-noticed by your users. I have only written twice and I have been amazed at your response. Even from Europe, on your Vacation, you have responded. Thank you."

-- John Myers, Kernersville, NC

"We use the ImageLib add-on. It gives us all the graphic formats listed plus more, all in true color resolution. It also provides a much better mutlimedia player than the one built into Dephi. The appplications have less overhead than most authoring packages and it is much easier to optimize them for speed or space."

-- Michael A Hess, Miracle Concepts Inc.
Founding member of the Mutlimedia Developers Consortium

"We needed to develop a Windows app which provided the user with a WYSIWYG environment for formating and printing COLD data and document images. WE needed a tool kit that supported TIFF compressed images, had reasonable image processing speed, and was compatible with Delphi. We were steered to SkyLine Tools' ImageLib which offers a comprehensive set of easy to use components and library functions. ImageLib improved our productivity rate threefold."

-- Willian Rodriquez, ISONA Techware Corp.
Third party software developer of add-ons for Minolta's Imaging Management system.

"You are the best Delphi vendor anywhere. I have numerous components. I always hear from you with tremendous speed. Your components are powerful and easy to use. I will be purchasing the Corp. Suite one day. I don't need that much power right now. I have e-mailed other vendor websites and forums on CIS and I haven't heard from any of them. Skyline Tools not only has good products, but they could teach MANY of these so called 'vendors' a few things about good business practices."

-- John T. Myers

"Please note that I compared your product with one which comes more and more out here in Germany. It is called 'DaVinci' from Herd Software. ImageLib is much faster and has a much better Delphi-interface. ImageLib is the graphic engine of my choice for our new product, a financial and estate calculation program."

I am currently involved in the development/deployment of a client relationship program, which maintains information over and above our existing 3rd party core systems and also introduces the concepts of folders, processes and work flow within the workplace to approximately 100 staff. One important aspect of the development will be image document management accessed via folders, etc, which I am currently experimenting with and is likely to be introduced towards the end of 1998. Your Corporate Suite was found to be the most stable using TIFF files and provided the flexibility and speed I wanted, against existing competition.
